Company history

  • September 1946
    Founded in Izumi, Mineyama-cho. Began manufacture of sewing machine parts.
  • March 1948
    Reorganized as a joint stock company, and continued to manufacture sewing machine parts. Capital: JPY 198,000
  • 1952
    Prepared to manufacture take-up levers (sewing machine parts).
  • 1953
    Changed production focus from bobbin cases to take-up levers.
  • October 1953
    Increased capital to JPY 2 million.
  • June 1957
    Built a new plant in Chitose, Mineyama-cho, and moved part of the machinery and heat treatment division.
  • September 1959
    Built a new forging plant, and began manufacture of precision forged parts.
  • October 1959
    Began manufacture of automotive parts.
  • December 1959
    Increased capital to JPY 18 million, and opened Osaka Office.
  • October 1961
    Began manufacture of machine tools.
  • September 1964
    Increased capital to JPY 80 million.
  • January 1967
    Established Marumine Industry Co., Ltd. as an affiliate in Mineyama-cho. (Currently TANGO-GIKEN CO., LTD.)
